I worked with a friend of mine (Hi Erik), who used to be very much into R/C. He and I started talking quite a bit about R/C cars, and he got me very excited. Before I knew it, I wanted to try out a nitro car. Hey, it ran on nitro, so it would be faster than electric, right? I found out later, that's not always the case.
Anyway, I found one for sale on eBay for a reasonable price, and bought it. I had it delivered to work. Wow, you should have seen the receptionist's face (Hi Jeanne) when it arrived. This huge box...!
I've never raced this at the track. I've done a few things to it (including buying and painting the body you see above, adding a few aluminum parts, etc.), but other than playing around at home, haven't done much. It really runs well, and is extremely fast (especially since I installed the 2-speed transmission).
