Well, yesterday I talked with my wife at lunchtime, and she told me "I have bad news...". Boy, was my mind reeling. It was not as bad as I anticipated. She told me that she was just driving slowly in a parking lot, heard some weird noise, and heard some guy yelling at her. She stopped, and realized she had a flat tire. Ok, this may not sound like a big deal, but we already had problems with a couple of tires on this vehicle a few months ago, and brought them into Big-O to get fixed (that's where we bought the tires). They supposedly took care of the problem. Then, a few weeks ago, I had a flat tire in my vehicle. I put on the spare, and a couple of weeks later, bought 2 new tires (2 of the tires still have quite a bit of tread on them, so why spend the money, right?). Now, it has only been a couple of weeks since then, and this problem... My wife took it in to Big-O today. She also asked them to take a look at the tire opposite the one with the flat, as it looked low also. They said something about something being cracked (I'm guessing it was the valve, but I didn't talk to the tech at Big-O, so I didn't get the technical answer), and in the process of checking out the other tire, they apparently cracked the same thing on the other tire. They said something about the first tire not being under warranty or something. So, all-in-all, it ended up costing us about $20. Doesn't sound like much, but I bought all 4 tires at Big-O, and they should all be under warranty or not. The main reason I bought from Big-O is because they do free rotations, free balancing, and free flat fixes. Ok, isn't this a flat fix? Why isn't it free? Needless to say, I'm kinda bummed. $20 may not sound like a lot, but it's money I wasn't planning on spending (it's supposed to be free). I thought they would take care of it for free. Now I'm reconsidering my next tire purchase. Maybe I'll just go to Costco. On a happy note, I just found something funny online. It's a 24-hour-a-day radio station, that plays nothing except for video game music. It's called VGmusic radio. You can find it at http://radio.emulationzone.org/chan9/. I listened a little, and it's kind of funny. After a while, you just get into it. I don't know most of the songs (I don't play video games anywhere near as much as I used to, and the ones I do play are usually the older ones), but it's still enjoyable. |
